How Much Suction Does a Robot Vacuum Need?

There is no single Pa number that guarantees clean floors. Pressure matters, but debris pickup also depends on airflow, brush agitation, floor contact, seals and how the manufacturer measures its claim.

What does Pa mean?

Pa

Pascal is a unit of pressure

In robot-vacuum marketing, Pa describes a claimed maximum suction-pressure level. It does not directly measure how many grams of cereal, sand or pet hair the robot removes from your carpet.

A claim may be measured under a specific mode, battery condition and test setup. Unless two brands use comparable methods, their Pa numbers should not be treated like directly comparable test scores.
